Firmware Update

You can update the X40 controller using the Dogtrace GPS 2.0 mobile application.

Update procedure​

1. Open the Dogtrace GPS 2.0 mobile application.
2. Go to Menu → Settings → DOG GPS receiver connection.
3. If a new firmware version is available, an FW Update button will appear under the connected device.
4. Press the FW Update button.

Before starting the update​

Before starting the update, important information will be displayed:

  • Estimated time – how long the update will take
  • Battery requirements – the controller must have at least 20% charge
