Circular fence

The circular fence function notifies you when your dog moves beyond the boundary of the space you have designated for them. The boundary is adjustable within a radius from 30 m to max. 300 m from the receiver.

One circular fence can be activated for each dog. When the dog crosses the set boundary, the controller starts issuing notifications that we have set (sound, text or vibration).

Note

For accurate circular fence function, it's good to have the controller on the best possible GPS signal. If the signal is not good, the boundary crossing indication will not be accurate (due to GPS accuracy).

tip

If you want to receive notifications even when the dog loses GPS or RF signal, make sure you have notifications enabled for RF signal loss

First select the dog for which you want to set up the fence. Then you will get to the circular fence settings screen.

Circular fence settings screen description

  • Tone – choose from 16 different tone types for audio notification.
  • Notification – choose how the notification should be made:
    • Vibration
    • Sound
    • Text
      Multiple types can be combined.
  • Notify on – set which state the device should react to:
    • Entry - entry into the circular fence.
    • Exit - exit from the circular fence.
  • Distance from hunter - set the radius of the circular zone – from 30 m to maximum 300 m.
  • Sound warning - activates audio signal when the dog approaches the fence boundary (at the distance defined by the sound zone width).
  • Sound zone width - sets the distance at which the sound warning will be triggered – from 0 m to 100 m.
  • Stimulation impulse - if active, the dog receives a stimulation impulse when reaching the fence boundary.
  • Impulse strength - sets the impulse intensity – from 0 (lowest) to 15.

Example

Circular fence example

🔴 The red zone represents the sound warning width (16 meters in this example). If sound warning is active, the collar starts making sound when the dog enters this area.

If the dog runs all the way to the fence boundary itself (50 meters from the hunter in this example), and if the stimulation impulse function is active, the collar sends an impulse.
