RF Signal Loss

Function for monitoring and alerting about radio signal loss between collar and controller.

Signal Monitoring

RF Monitoring Activation
Enables continuous monitoring of radio signal quality and availability.

Detection Sensitivity
Set at what signal strength the alert is activated:

  • High Sensitivity – alert at slight signal degradation
  • Medium Sensitivity – alert at significant degradation
  • Low Sensitivity – alert only at complete loss

Alert Types

Immediate Alerts
Reactions to current signal status:

  • Weak Signal – warning before possible loss
  • Signal Loss – immediate alert on outage
  • Signal Recovery – confirmation of connection restoration

Controller Alerts
Types of alerts displayed on controller:

  • Visual – icons and indicators on display
  • Audio – warning tones of various intensity
  • Vibration – tactile alerts

Automatic Reactions

Signal Loss Mode
Collar behavior when losing connection with controller:

  • Standard Mode – continue basic functions
  • Power Saving Mode – reduce consumption to extend life
  • Localization Mode – activate finding functions

GPS Backup
Automatic GPS activation when RF signal is lost:

  • Immediate Activation – GPS turns on immediately
  • Delayed Activation – GPS turns on after certain time
  • Manual Activation – GPS only on command

Reconnection Protocols

Automatic Recovery
Settings for automatic connection restoration:

  • Retry Interval – how often collar attempts reconnect
  • Maximum Attempts – limit attempts before entering power saving
  • Timeout – maximum wait time for response

Priority Channels
Settings for preferred communication channels:

  • Primary Channel – main communication frequency
  • Backup Channels – alternative frequencies when problems occur
  • Automatic Switching – channel change with poor signal

Diagnostics and Statistics

Signal Quality
Real-time RF connection status information:

  • Signal Strength – current level in dBm
  • Connection Quality – stability and transmission speed
  • Error Rate – percentage of lost packets

Outage History
Record of all signal loss instances:

  • Time and Location – when and where outage occurred
  • Duration – how long signal was missing
  • Possible Causes – analysis of outage reasons

Range Optimization

Power Settings
Transmitter power adjustment for optimal range:

  • Low Power – battery saving, shorter range
  • Medium Power – balanced setting
  • High Power – maximum range, higher consumption

Antennas and Position
Tips for optimal placement and orientation:

  • Collar Position – ideal placement on dog's neck
  • Controller Position – recommended holding and orientation
  • Obstacles – terrain and object effects on signal
